Restaurant Day

Dine at Matchbox any time on February 28 and help raise money for the Twinbrook PTA! Bring this flyer or show your server on your mobile app and they will provide us with 10% of their proceeds.  What better reason to come out and support the PTA!

Boundary Study Community Meeting

First official community meeting for the boundary study will be held February 28th, 7-9 PM at  College Gardens Elementary School.  All community members and parents are invited. 2016-2017 Yearbook

Interested in graphics, photography, or publishing?  Ms. Palker is seeking a parent volunteer to help her compile the yearbook.  Please contact Vincent Russo (president@twinbrookpta.org) or Ms. Palker (Kristin_Palker@mcpsmd.org) if you are interested.

5^th Grade Family Life

A presentation of the 5^th grade family life meeting for parents will be held March 7^thfrom 6:30-7:00 PM.  Childcare will be provided.  Check student folders for flyer with details.

PTA Meeting

Join us March 7^th from 7:00-8:30 PM for a PTA parents meeting.  Twinbrook will have Title 1 status next school year.  Come learn what this means for our school in terms of additional resources and enrichment opportunities. Childcare will be provided.

MCPD Meet & Greet

The Montgomery County Police will be at Twinbrook for a meet & greet on March 13^that 7:00 PM.  Officials from MCPD 1st District will be on hand to meet community members and answer questions.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is coming to Twinbrook!  GOTR is physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-5th grade.  The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.

Starting the week of March 13^th, the team will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 5:15.  The program culminates in a celebratory 5k run on Sunday, May 21^st at the Westfield Montgomery Mall.  The program costs $160 and includes the 20 lessons, snacks, a t-shirt, water bottle, entry into the 5k, a 5k medal, and more!  Financial scholarships are available.  Registration begins on February 16th at www.girlsontherunofmoco.org/register/.

Nominating Committee for 2017-2018 PTA Officers

The PTA is looking for three members to serve on the Nominating Committee which formally nominates eligible persons for each PTA office, e.g. president, treasurer, membership, etc.  These nominees will be voted on during the May member meeting.  Please contact Vincent Russo president@twinbrookpta.org if you are interested in helping to identify officers for next year’s PTA board.

City of Rockville Summer Camps & Playgrounds

The Twinbrook Student Directory is now available.  If you are a current parent and have not received a copy, please email Susan Adams at membership@twinbrookpta.org with your name, your child’s name, your child’s teacher and your email address.

Spirit Wear

Spirit Wear is always available.  You can order at any upcoming PTA event or fill out an order form and send it in to school with your student (English / Spanish).  For questions, send an email to Jennifer Wood at fundraising@twinbrookpta.org.

5to Grado Vida Familiar

Chicas en la carrera

Girls on the Run está llegando a Twinbrook! GOTR es un programa de desarrollo juvenil positivo basado en actividades físicas para niñas de 3º a 5º grado. El objetivo del programa es desencadenar la confianza a través del logro mientras se establece una apreciación de la vida de la salud y la aptitud.

A partir de la semana del 13 de marzo, el equipo se reunirá todos los martes y jueves de 4:00 a 5:15. El programa culmina en una celebración 5k correr el domingo, 21 de mayo en el Westfield Montgomery Mall.
